CQWW SSB 2009 - participation in SOSB 20 QRP section. Operating from the usual contest location in Brittas Bay, Co. Wicklow. Target: to work as many zones and DXCC as possible and prepare for CQWW CW in November.
As part of the preparation we have put together a small application that parsed all CQWW 2008 and 2007 logs, calculates QSO rates and aggregates it up by time, band, zones and other parameters. It is quite useful for planning SB activity. Over 10 million contacts from almost 20.000 logs have been parsed. Here is the link.
QTH: Somone, Senegal, 6W/EI6DX
In November 2009 between CQWW SSB and CW I am going to operate from Senegal, from a small village of Somone located 70 km Southeast of Dakar. I will concentrate on low bands and will work mainly CW. Participation in the Ukrainian DX and Japan Internation DX contests is scheduled at the weekends.
October update: my very good friend from the old UK1OAP-UZ1OWZ-RK1OWZ times - Dima aka “Mike” UA1OMX is joining me. Mike is a top notch SSB op. So as of October, its not just CW we are going to work on. A 6V license has been applied for. I now have to make sure I get the ACOM over to Dakar. More…
